The story so far

With a family heritage that is half Welsh and quarter Italian, it now seems almost natural that Christian should have chosen singing as his career.

Christian was classically trained at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama before being awarded a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music where his skills as a professional performer were honed.

However, it has not only been his performance abilities as a vocalist and actor that have attracted praise from critics and the great number of fellow professionals with whom Christian has worked. After a recent televised stage appearance, several very impressed audience members who chatted to Christian came to the same conclusion. “He’s a really nice guy”, appeared to be the consensus of opinion. When not delivering a dynamic stage performance in the theatre or concert hall, such a complimentary opinion sums up Christian’s winning personality. He really is a great guy to know.

Undoubtedly, this same natural charm intelligence and pleasant social demeanour have immediately warmed him to concert and theatre audiences in many productions throughout the country, including West End and touring productions of major Opera and Musicals.

But you’ve never heard of him, until now.

Although Christian seemed destined for stardom, tragedy struck when his father died suddenly in an accident. Christian suffered crippling stage fright, walking off the West End stage in front of 2,000 people.

As he came to terms with the loss, his passion for singing gave him the courage to keep performing.

In 2006 the BBC chose him out of 4,000 professional singers from around the world for their televised event showcasing the greatest “Voice of Musical Theatre" which led to an engagement with the world famous Hallé Orchestra in Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall.

As one critic commented, “Christian demonstrates a rare depth of feeling in his performance of every song he delivers.” It is such typical depth of emotion that lies behind Christian’s sentiments for his recordings and live performances.

“I want to bring back to life the music that people were meant to hear”, he explains, and emphasises. “Well sung numbers of timeless classics, with modern arrangements, brought to a new generation, yet keeping the essence of the era these songs represent”.

No doubt, he will be winning over a wider listening audience very soon.
